(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The St. Louis Cardinals will be without three-time National League Most Valuable Player Albert Pujols for four to six weeks.
The All-Star first baseman suffered a broken left forearm during the Cardinals' 5-4 win over Kansas City on Sunday.
Pujols was pulled off the bag by a bad throw and collided with Kansas City's Wilson Betimit trying to make a tag at first base.
An MRI and a CT scan on Monday revealed a non-displaced fracture of his left radius.
Pujols was batting .279 at the time of his injury and was getting hot following a slow start this season.
