(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Fever won their fourth game in a row, knocking off the Phoenix Mercury 91-86 at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Katie Douglas led Indiana with 26 points with Jessica Davenport adding a career-high 25 points on 10-for-11 shooting from the field. The only shot Davenport missed was an attempted putback with 27 seconds left in the game.
The Fever opened the second half with a 10-2 run to break open a close game, leading by as many as 18 points with 2:52 remaining in the third quarter.
Phoenix closed out the third with an 11-1 run and kept the pressure on early in the fourth, cutting Indiana's lead to one at 78-77 with 6:34 remaining. That would be as close as the Mercury would get as Douglas, Davenport and Tamika Catchings would score the final 13 points for the fever.
Diana Taurasi and Dewanna Bonner led the Mercury with 15 points apiece as Phoenix had a four-game winning streak snapped.
The Fever improve to 7-and-3 and will get a week off. They are back in action on July 5th when they host the Seattle Storm.
