(WASHINGTON, DC) - The St. Louis Cardinals’ losing streak is up to a season-high five games after the Redbirds were blown out at Washington 10-0.
Livan Hernandez fired a complete-game three-hitter for the Nationals, who have won five in a row.
Michael Morse hit a pair of home runs for Washington with Danny Espinoza and Jayson Werth also going deep.
Albert Pujols made a rare start at third base for St. Louis and committed two errors leading to a pair of unearned runs for Washington.
Kyle McClellan started for the Cardinals and allowed three earned runs on seven hits to take the loss and fall to 6-3.
