(CHICAGO, IL) - Brent Morel’s sacrifice fly in the seventh gave the Chicago White Sox a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.
The Sox jumped out to the early lead when Paul Konerko homered off Cubs starter Matt Garza in the second and Juan Pierre drove home Alex Rios with a sacrifice bunt in the third.
The Cubs came back when Carlos Pena tagged a Mark Buehrle pitch over the centerfield wall to make it 2-1 White Sox.
Following a lengthy rain delay, the Cubs tied the game on Aramis Ramirez sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Alexei Ramirez led off the bottom of the seventh with a double off Cubs reliever Jeff Samardzija and moved to third on a single by AJ Pierzynski.
After Rios popped out, Morel flew out to center allowing Ramirez to score the eventual game-winning run.
