(CHICAGO, IL) - AJ Pierzynski hit a two-run triple and Brent Lillibridge drove in a pair of runs as the Chicago White Sox edged the Chicago Cubs 4-3 to take two of three games in the Crosstown Classic.
Pierzynski hit his triple in the fourth inning and scored on Lillibridge's bunt single as the Sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
Starlin Castro hit an RBI single for the Cubs in the top of the fifth to make it 3-1 White Sox, but Lillibridge would get the run back in the bottom of the inning when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
The Cubs would score twice in the sixth on a solo home run from Carlos Pena and an RBI single by Jeff Baker.
Jake Peavy got the win for the Sox to improve to 3-1 while Doug Davis took the loss for the Cubs to fall to 1-6.
