(ST. PETERSBURG, FL) - Evan Longoria led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a solo home run to give the Tampa Bay Rays a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
The game started as a pitchers duel between Reds starter Johnny Cueto and Tampa Bay's David Price. Johnny Damon hit a solo homer off Cueto in the fourth and added a go-ahead two-run double to chase Cueto in the eighth.
Price shut the Reds out until the eighth when he allowed an RBI single by Edgar Renteria and a go-ahead run-scoring double by Joey Votto.
The Rays took a 3-2 lead to the ninth when Jay Bruce tied the game with a solo homer off the Rays' Kyle Farnsworth. That set up Longoria, who hit Cincinnati reliever Logan Ondrusek's second pitch over the left field wall for the game-winner.
