(CINCINNATI, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds split their doubleheader with the New York Yankees, losing the opener 4-2 and taking the nightcap 10-2.
Jorge Posada delivered the key blow for New York in the opener, hitting a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth.
It was Posada's first home run since April 23rd. In game two, Chris Heisey hit three home runs and drove in five.
It was the first multi-home run game of Heisey's career.
Jonny Gomes added a solo homer and Scott Rolen drove in a pair as Johnny Cueto cruised to his fifth win of the season.
Cueto allowed a run on two hits over seven innings as the reds avoid a three-game series sweep.
