(DENVER, CO) - AJ Pierzynski’s sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth gave the Chicago White Sox a 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.
The Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the fourth on Paul Konerko's RBI single and a run-scoring double from Pierzynski. Colorado came back with solo homers off Chicago starter Mark Buehrle with Jason Giambi going deep in the sixth and Ty Wigginton tying the game in the seventh.
In the top of the ninth, Carlos Quentin greeted Rockies closer Huston Street with a single and advanced to third on a single by Konerko. Street struck out Alexei Ramirez but Pierzynski followed with a fly ball to right field with Quentin beating Seth Smith's throw to the plate.
