(SYRACUSE, NY) - Seth Bynum’s two-run double in the third inning put Syracuse up for good as the Chiefs beat the Indianapolis Indians 8-5.
Indianapolis took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first on John Bowker's sixth home run of the season.
The Chiefs would get one run back in the second on an RBI single by Syracuse starting pitcher Craig Stammen and would score three times in the third with Bynum's double capping the rally.
With the win, the Chiefs have won three games in a row. Game two of the four-game series is tonight in Syracuse.
