(BALTIMORE, MD) - Lance Berkman homered twice and Jon Jay also went deep as the St. Louis Cardinals outslugged the Baltimore Orioles 9-6 to complete a three-game series sweep at Camden Yards.
Berkman hammered a two-run homer off Baltimore starter Brian Matusz in the third and added a solo shot off Alfredo Simon in the seventh to give him 20 home runs on the season.
Jay hit a three-run blast off Matusz in the fourth as Matusz was charged with eight earned runs in three and-a-third innings of work. Nolan Reimold hit a three-run homer and drove in four for Baltimore with Mark Reynolds adding a two-run shot.
Jaime Garcia allowed five runs on ten hits in five and a third innings, but still picked up the win to move to 7-and-3. Matusz takes the loss to drop to 1-and-4.
