(HOUSTON, TX) - Former Indiana University Basketball Coach Kelvin Sampson reportedly will join Kevin McHale’s staff with the Houston Rockets.
McHale was hired last month to replace Rick Adelman as head coach in Houston.
Sampson has been an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks since 2008.
He went to the NBA after departing IU in 2008 amid accusations of making impermissible phone calls to recruits.
The Rockets reportedly have also hired JB Bickerstaff as an assistant coach to McHale.
Bickerstaff was considered to be a candidate to join Frank Vogel's staff with the Indiana Pacers.
