(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers officially introduced Frank Vogel as head coach on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old Vogel took over for Jim O'Brien last January and led the Pacers to their first playoff berth in six years.
Terms of the contract were not released, but the Indianapolis Star reports that the deal is for three years with the pacers holding a team option for the third year.
Team President Larry Bird waited more than two months to remove the "interim" tag from Vogel's job title, but says he is comfortable that the team is moving in the right direction.
