(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Colby Rasmus and Yadier Molina homered and Kyle McClellan turned in seven solid innings of pitching as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the hapless Houston Astros 10-5.
Rasmus hit a two-run homer and drove in three while Molina added a solo shot and had two runs batted in.
McClellan allowed a run on six hits to get the win and improve to 7-6.
Houston's Carlos Lee did some damage against the St. Louis bullpen, hitting his 16th-career grand slam in the eighth off Cardinals' reliever PJ Walters.
It was not enough as the Astros drop their fourth game in a row.
The Redbirds remain in a virtual tie with Pittsburgh for the NL Central lead.
