(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Wandy Rodriguez retired the final 13 batters he faced as the Houston Astros defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3.
Rodriguez allowed three runs, one earned, over seven innings to even his record at 7-7.
The Cardinals took a 3-1 lead into the fourth when Houston got an RBI single from Carlos Lee and a sacrifice fly from Chris Johnson to tie the score.
The Astros took the lead in the fifth when Jason Bourgeois hit a ground-rule double to score Rodriguez.
Lee added a solo homer in the sixth as the Astros gained a split of the four-game series.
With the loss, St. Louis falls into a second-place tie with Pittsburgh in the NL Central a game and-a-half behind first-place Milwaukee.
