(MONCHENGLADBACH, GERMANY) - The United States Women’s Soccer Team is back in action today as they face France in the semifinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany.
It is the first match for the Americans after their stunning victory over Brazil in the quarterfinals.
Abby Wambach scored the tying goal in the dying minutes of extra time and Team USA would advance after outscoring Brazil 5-3 in penalty kicks.
France also needed penalty kicks to get past England in the quarters.
The other semifinal pits Sweden and Japan.
Today's winners will face each other in Sunday's championship match.
