(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have called a news conference for this morning to announce that Frank Vogel will be named permanent head coach.
Team President Larry Bird and Vogel are scheduled to participate.
Vogel replaced Jim O'Brien as Pacers coach when O'Brien was fired in late January.
Indiana went 20-18 under Vogel and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2005.
The Indianapolis Star reports that Vogel has agreed to a two-year contract with a team option for a third year.
