(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - With the lockout lifting this morning, the Indianapolis Colts will go to work in getting their roster built for the upcoming season.
One key for the Colts will be getting quarterback Peyton Manning locked up with a multi-year deal.
Manning was tagged the club's franchise player before the lockout, assigning him a one-year tender worth more than 23-million dollars for the upcoming season.
The Colts would like to lessen Manning's hit on the salary cap with a new deal in order to leave more room to sign other players.
Among the other free agents the Colts could re-sign are running back Joseph Addai, safety Melvin Bullitt, kicker Adam Vinatieri and offensive lineman Charlie Johnson.
