(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Clayton Kershaw threw six shutout innings and was backed by big nights from Rod Barajas and Matt Kemp as the Los Angeles Dodgers blew out the St. Louis Cardinals 13-2.
Barajas hit a pair of home runs with Kemp adding a three-run blast.
Kershaw allowed six hits, walking two and striking out eight to move to 16-5 on the season.
With the Cardinals trailing 11-0, utility infielder Skip Schumaker came in to pitch the top of the ninth for the redbirds.
Schumaker gave up a two-run homer to LA 's Aaron Miles.
Starter Kyle Lohse gave up eight earned runs in three innings to fall to 11-8.
With the loss, the second-place Cardinals fall ten games behind Milwaukee in the NL Central.
