(PITTSBURGH, PA) - The Chicago Cubs won their third game in a row, outslugging the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-6 in a game featuring nine home runs.
Aramis Ramirez three-run blast in the top of the second inning put Chicago up to stay. Ramirez finished with four runs batted in.
Alfonso Soriano hit a pair of solo shots, with Geovano Soto hitting a two-run homer and Tyler Colvin and Marlon Byrd adding solo blasts.
Garrett jones homered twice for Pittsburgh, hitting a two-run shot in the first and a solo homer in the eighth and adding a sacrifice fly in the ninth to finish with four runs batted in.
Brandon Wood also hit a solo homer for the Pirates, who have dropped four games in a row.
