(TOLEDO, OH) - The Indianapolis Indians handed Toledo its third-straight loss, pounding the Mud Hens 9-1.
Nelson Figueroa fired a complete game for the Tribe, allowing a run on eight hits with no walks and ten strikeouts to even his Triple-A record at 1-1.
Indianapolis led 3-1 in the top of the eighth when Pedro Alvarez blew the game open, hitting a grand slam off Toledo reliever Brayan Villarreal.
John Bowker finished with three runs batted in for the Indians with Jordy Mercer adding a solo homer, his fourth of the season.
The Tribe and the Mud Hens head west to Indianapolis for a two-game series beginning tonight at Victory Field.
