(INDIANAPOLIS) - The 2006 MotoGP world champion tested out the new pavement on the IMS road course.
American Nicky Hayden says the new pavement is pretty much perfect as he expected.
Hayden says he thinks the new pavement will lead to faster speeds at this year's race including a new track record.
Hayden says he hopes to get a better feel for the track when he brings his racing motorcycle for the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on August 28th.
He also gave a tip for fans saying the best spot to watch the race would be near turn 1.
