(LAWRENCEVILLE, GA) - Matt Hague’s fielder’s choice groundout in the top of the tenth inning drove home the go-ahead run as the Indianapolis Indians edged the Gwinnett Braves 4-3.
Hague finished with two runs batted in with Jordy Mercer contributing an RBI double and Gorkys Hernandez hitting a run-scoring single as the tribe earned a split of the four-game series.
Wilkin Ramirez and Mauro Gomez had RBI singles for Gwinnett with Ramirez scoring the tying run in the ninth on a passed ball by Indians catcher Ryan Doumit.
Indianapolis will take today off before returning home to open a four-game series with the Toledo Mud Hens Thursday night at Victory Field.
