(MIAMI, FL) - Matt Holliday hit a three-run home run and Albert Pujols added a solo blast and scored three times to lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the Florida Marlins 7-4.
Holliday's blast came off Florida starter Clay Hensley in the top of the first, but Florida tied it in the bottom of the first on an RBI double by Omar Infante and a two-run double by Logan Morrison.
The Redbirds went up for good when Hensley hit David Freese in the head with a pitch with the bases loaded.
Freese left the game with a mild concussion.
Pujols went 3-for-4, falling a triple shy of the cycle.
