(CLEVELAND, OH) - Ubaldo Jiminez picked up his first win in a Cleveland uniform as the Indians pounded Detroit 10-3 to pull to within two games of the first-place Tigers.
Jiminez, who was acquired from Colorado at the trade deadline, allowed three runs over eight innings to improve to 7-9.
Rookie Jason Kipnis hit a two-run homer and drove in three as Cleveland has taken the first two games in the three-game series between the top two teams in the American League Central.
Ryan Raburn had an RBI triple and Wilson Betimit followed with a two-run double as the Tigers scored all three of their runs in the fourth inning.
