(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The Chicago Cubs pulled it together enough to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-3.
Jake Westbrook had his perfect game spoiled in the sixth inning after Starlin Castro and Marlin Byrd each drove in-runs for the Cubs.
Lance Berkamn answered for the Cardinals in their half of the sixth by hitting a three run homer to make it 4-3 Cubs.
The Chicago bullpen was able to contain St. Louis for the next three innings.
Carlos Marmol struck out a couple of batters in the ninth inning for his 20th save of the season.
