Morse Powers Nationals Past Struggling Reds

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Michael Morse homered and drove in a pair of runs as the Washington Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-4 in the opener of a three-game series at Nationals Park.

Ian Desmond added a two-run single and Ryan Zimmerman hit a solo shot for the Nats.

Jay Bruce drove in two runs for Cincinnati with Ramon Hernandez and Edgar Renteria driving home the Reds' other two runs.

Chien-Ming Wang won his second-straight start, allowing four runs on seven hits over six and-a-third innings to even his record at 2-2.

Brownsburg, Indiana native Drew Storen picked up his 32nd save.

Reds starter Mike Leake took the loss to fall to 10-8.
