(CHICAGO, IL) - Juan Pierre’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 14th inning allowed the Chicago White Sox to get past the Cleveland Indians 8-7.
Pierre added a solo homer off Cleveland starter Ubaldo Jiminez.
Rookie Alejandro De Aza hit a pair of RBI triples for the White Sox, who have won three games in a row.
Travis Hafner homered and drove in two with Jason Donald also driving in a pair of runs for the Indians.
First-place Detroit won on Tuesday night, so Cleveland falls three games behind the Tigers while the Sox remain three and-a-half games out of first in the AL Central.
