(CHICAGO, IL) - Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Pena hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning to power the Chicago Cubs past the Washington Nationals 4-3.
Ryan Zimmerman gave Washington a 1-0 lead in the first when he homered off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster.
Alfonso Soriano tied the game with an RBI triple in the fourth before Ramirez' two-run shot off Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann the next inning gave the Cubs a 3-1 lead.
Pena followed by blasting a Zimmermann offering onto Sheffield avenue to make it 4-1 Chicago.
Brian Bixler drove in a run with an RBI single in the eighth and Wilson Ramos did the same in the ninth to get the Nats to within a run, but Carlos Marmol managed to get out of the jam to pick up his 26th save.
Dempster got the win, improving to 10-8 while Zimmermann took the loss to drop to 7-10.
