(MIAMI, FL) - The Cincinnati Reds split their doubleheader with the Florida Marlins, dropping the opener 6-5 before taking game two 3-2.
The Marlins scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth in game one to snap a six-game losing streak.
Florida's Greg Dobbs delivered the key blow in the opener as his two-run single in the eighth proved to be the difference.
In the finale, Bronson Arroyo threw eight shutout innings to move to 8-10 on the season.
Joey Votto homered and drove in two runs to pace the Cincinnati offense.
