(CLEVELAND, OH) - David Huff pitched six shutout innings and Carlos Santana hit a key home run as the Cleveland Indians got past the Oakland Athletics 2-1.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the sixth when Kosuke Fukudome hit an RBI double off A's starter Brandon McCarthy.
Santana made it 2-0 Cleveland with his 20th homer of the year, a solo shot off McCarthy in the seventh.
Oakland scored its lone run after Huff departed as Jemile Weeks hit an RBI double off reliever Tony Sipp in the eighth.
Huff allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four to even his record at 2-2.
McCarthy went eight innings, giving up two runs on five hits with a walk and ten strikeouts as he falls to 7-7.
