(CHICAGO, IL) - Mark Teixeira homered twice as the New York Yankees blanked the Chicago White Sox 6-0 in a game stopped in the middle of the seventh inning due to rain.
Teixeira hit a two-run shot off Sox starter John Danks in the third and a solo shot off reliever Jason Frasor in the seventh.
Russell Martin also hit a solo homer off Danks in the second with Robinson Cano and Andruw Jones adding RBI singles.
Phil Hughes pitched six shutout innings for New York, allowing three hits while striking out four to move to 2-3 on the season.
Danks takes the loss to fall to 4-9.
