(CINCINNATI, OH) - Shane Victorino’s two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning was the difference as the Philadelphia Phillies edged the Cincinnati Reds 3-2.
Joey Votto gave the Reds a 1-0 lead in the fourth with an RBI groundout against Phillies' starter Cole Hamels.
Wilson Valdez tied it with an RBI double in the fifth.
That was all of the scoring until Victorino hammered his go-ahead shot off Cincinnati starter Homer Bailey.
The Reds got a run back in the eighth on Dave Sappelt's infield single in the eighth, but reliever Michael Stutes got Votto to ground out to end the inning and the Cincinnati rally.
The Reds had a four-game winning streak snapped.
