(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indycar has suspended two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. indefinitely.
Unser was arrested in Albuquerque on Thursday morning on reckless driving and aggravated DWI charges.
He serves as a driving coach and a race control official for Indycar.
According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff's department, Unser was drag racing another car and was going around 101 miles per hour when deputies caught up to him.
According to the arrest report, Unser's blood-alcohol content was twice New Mexico's legal limit of .08.
It is the third time he has been arrested on alcohol related charges over the past nine years.
