(CHICAGO, IL) - Mark Buehrle threw seven shutout innings as they won in Joey Cora’s managerial debut, edging the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1.
Tyler Flowers gave the Sox a 1-0 lead in the second with a solo home run off Jays Starter Henderson Alvarez.
AJ Pierzynski made it 2-0 Chicago in the sixth with an RBI single.
Toronto's lone run came on a Mike McCoy solo shot off sox reliever Jesse Crain in the eighth.
Buehrle allowed six hits and struck out six as he finishes his season at 13-9.
Alvarez took the loss to fall to 1-3.
Cora was named interim manager for the White Sox' final two games this season after Ozzie Guillen was released from his contract following Monday night's win over Toronto.
