(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) - The Chicago Cubs failed in their effort to sweep the defending World Series Champions on the road, falling to Madison Bumgarner and the San Francisco Giants 4-0.
Bumgarner went eight innings, allowing two hits and a pair of walks while striking out eleven Cubs to improve to 9-12.
Jeff Keppinger homered and drove in two runs with Pablo Sandoval adding a solo shot as the Giants snap a three-game losing streak.
Rodrigo Lopez took the loss for Chicago, dropping to 4-6.
