(PITTSBURGH, PA) - Rookie Pedro Ciriaco hit a go-ahead, two-run double in Pittsburgh’s three-run bottom of the eighth as the Pirates got past the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5.
Neil Walker and Ryan Doumit added RBI doubles as the Pirates halted a three-game losing streak while snapping the Cardinals' five-game winning streak.
Albert Pujols hit his 35th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth, as the Redbirds fall six and-a-half games behind idle Milwaukee in the NL Central.
