(CLEVELAND, OH) - Jack Hannahan hit a pair of solo home runs and delivered the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 16th inning as the Cleveland Indians edged the Oakland Athletics 4-3.
Both of Hannahan's home runs came off Oakland starter Rich Harden with his sixth-inning shot tying the game at three.
The Indians put runners on first and second with one out in the 16th when Hannahan singled off A's reliever Josh Outman to score pinch-runner cord Phelps on a close play at the plate.
Kurt Suzuki hit a solo homer for Oakland as the Atheltics dropped their fifth game in a row.
The Indians have won three straight to move a half-game ahead of Chicago for second place in the AL Central, five and-a-half games behind front-running Detroit.
