(NEW YORK, NY) - Chris Heisey hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning as the Cincinnati Reds opened their final series of the year with a 6-5 victory over the New York Mets.
Rookies Devin Mesoraco and Dave Sappelt added RBI hits and Joey Votto added a sacrifice fly for Cincinnati.
Nick Evans and Jose Reyes drove in two runs each for New York with David Wright hitting an RBI single.
The Mets led 4-3 when Heisey hammered his 18th homer of the season off New York reliever Tim Byrdak.
Cincinnati reliever Logan Ondrusek got the win while Byrdak took the loss.
