(NEW YORK, NY) - Negotiations between the NBA and The Players Association resume today amid reports that Commissioner David Stern could pull the plug on the 2011-2012 season if significant progress toward a deal is not made by the end of the weekend.
Whether or not Stern's stance is a legitimate threat or a negotiating tactic, the full 82-game regular season schedule is definitely in peril if no progress is made.
The players have been locked out since the Collective Bargaining Agreement expired on July 1st.
The league has already postponed the start of training camps and cancelled the first week of preseason games.
