(MILWAUKEE, WI) - Jake Westbrook hit his first major league home run, a go-ahead grand slam in the fourth inning as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3.
Westbook pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs on eight hits to improve to 11-7.
Rafael Furcal and Albert Pujols hit solo homers with Furcal adding an RBI single for St. Louis.
Corey Hart hit a solo homer and Ryan Braun had an RBI triple for the Brewers.
St. Louis has won three games in a row and has cut Milwaukee's lead in the NL Central to eight and-a-half games.
