(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers face off in game three of the National League Championship Series tonight in St. Louis.
The Cardinals earned a split of the two games in Milwaukee by bombing the Brewers 12-3 in game two on Monday night.
The Redbirds will send Chris Carpenter to the mound tonight.
Carpenter last pitched in St. Louis' game-five NLDS victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Carpenter fired a complete-game three-hitter as St. Louis blanked the Phils 1-0.
Milwaukee will counter with their ace, Yovani Gallardo.
Gallardo has not pitched since Saturday when he started the Brewers' game-five win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the other NLDS.
