(NEW YORK, NY) - The current NBA labor stalemate is headed to mediation.
Players Association Executive Director Billy Hunter told WFAN radio in New York that the league's owners and players will meet with a federal mediator on Monday.
Twelve hours of negotiations on Sunday and Monday of this week did not lead to movement in the three-month-old stalemate, leading NBA Commissioner David Stern to announce the cancellation of the first two weeks of the regular season.
The players have been locked out since the old Collective Bargaining Agreement expired on July 1st.
