(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Izod IndyCar Series Driver Will Power has been diagnosed with a compression fracture of his fourth thoracic vertebra.
Power suffered the injury in the 15-car accident during the October 16th season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Power was treated and released from University Medical Center in Las Vegas the evening of the crash.
IndyCar Series Orthopedic Specialist Doctor Terry Trammell examined Power on Monday and found the fracture.
Team Penske issued a release on Tuesday saying that Power is expected to be healed in time for the 2012 season.
Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed in the accident.
