(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago White Sox have hired Robin Ventura as their new manager. Ventura played 16 major league seasons, ten with the Sox.
This will be the first managerial job at any level for the 44-year-old Ventura, who rejoined the team this past season as a special advisor to Director of Player Development Buddy Bell.
Ventura replaces Ozzie Guillen, who left Chicago to become the manager of the Miami Marlins next season.
