(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Freshman Andy Smeathers led six Butler players in double figures as the Bulldogs blew out division-two Oakland City 98-53 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Smeathers finished with 17 points with Chase Stigall adding 15 points.
Andrew Smith and Kameron Woods had double-doubles, Smith with 14 points and twelve rebounds and Woods with ten points and ten boards.
Chrishawn Hopkins scored eleven points and Eric Fromm had ten for the 4-3 Bulldogs.
Maurice Fuller scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Mighty Oaks with Cameron Lefear adding 16.
Butler opens Horizon League play on Saturday when they face the Valparaiso Crusaders in Indianapolis.
