(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Butler Bulldogs used a big second half to pull away from Savannah State, defeating the Tigers 57-42 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Savannah State led 20-17 at the half with the Bulldogs taking the lead for good on Jackson Aldridge's jumper with 16:39 left.
The basket was part of a 12-0 Butler run as the dogs were in control for the rest of the game.
Andrew Smith led a balanced Butler attack with eleven points as the Bulldogs improve to 2-2.
Savannah State's Preston Blackmon led all scorers with 13 points as the Tigers fall to 1-4.
Butler faces Indiana Sunday night in Bloomington.
