(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Robbie Hummel’s return to the Purdue lineup was a successful one as the Boilermakers pounded Northern State 78-46 in their exhibition opener at Mackey Arena.
Hummel led the Boilers with 18 points and had a game high-tying seven rebounds in just 15 minutes of action.
Hummel missed all of last season with a knee injury.
Sophomore forward Travis Carroll also reached double figures for Purdue, scoring twelve points.
None of the Wolves reached double digits with Collin Pryor leading Northern State with eight points.
The Boilermakers wrap up their exhibition schedule on Sunday when they host Southern Indiana.
