(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Ryne Smith made eight 3-pointers to help the Purdue Boilermakers hold off the High Point Panthers, 67-65.
Smith's precision behind the arc earned him a tie for most three pointers made in a game in school history.
One of the co-record holders, Robbie Hummel, scored eighteen points against the Panters and tied the school record for most three point attempts in a game.
Purdue's home winning streak would have ended if Nick Barbour's three point attempt in the closing seconds would have gone in.
The Boilermakers held on in the new, re-furbished Mackey Arena for their nineteenth consecutive home victory.
Purdue is home Thursday afternoon against the Iona Gaels.
