(ORLANDO, FL) - Notre Dame closes out its football season this afternoon when they face the Florida State Seminoles in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando.
Both teams enter today's game with 8-and-4 records.
The Fighting Irish last played on November 26th when they had a four-game winning streak snapped at Stanford, losing to the Cardinals 28-14.
The Seminoles started slowly this season before winning six of their final seven games, including a 21-7 victory at Florida to close out the regular season.
FSU holds a 4-2 lead in the all-time series with the 'Noles blanking the Irish 37-0 the last time the teams played in 2003.
Three of those games came in the 1990s with legendary coaches Lou Holtz and Bobby Bowden squaring off. Among those games was the 1995 Orange Bowl which Florida State won 31-26.
