(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University Co-Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Rod Smith is leaving the Hoosiers program.
Smith will serve in the same capacities at the University of Arizona under new Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez.
Smith played for Rodriguez collegiately at Glenville State and was a member of Rodriguez' staffs at West Virginia and Michigan.
IU Head Coach Kevin Wilson released a statement saying he wishes Smith well and that the school will not rush a decision to find a replacement.
The Hoosiers went 1-11 in 2011, Wilson's first season as IU's head coach.
